Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) and the OSMH Foundation are looking ahead to the future of healthcare for our community, and we couldn’t do it without the support of the people who live and work in our communities.

Community Giving, through events and personal fundraisers, can be a fun way to engage family, friends, and coworkers to support your passion. Your efforts will ensure that our community has access to enhanced care close to home when they need it most.

How Can We Help You?

Provide you with access to our Do-It-Yourself Fundraising platform
Use of OSMH Foundation logo on your promotional items (subject to approval)
Provide advice on event planning, best practices, and budgeting upon request
Share your event on our Facebook and Instagram platforms (when possible and appropriate) if you tag us first. Please tag the following accounts: Facebook- @Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) Foundation, Instagram- @soldiersfoundation, and LinkedIn-Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation

What Can't We Do?

Regretfully, we are not able to:

Sell tickets
Share donor information
Supply prizing
Manage or maintain your event budget
Provide access to mailing or email lists of our donors
Guarantee attendance of OSMH Foundation staff, volunteers, or hospital representatives at the fundraiser or event
Solicit for sponsorship, prizes, auction items or awards
Assume any legal or financial liability associated with the event
Apply for licenses, permits or insurance

What About Tax Receipts?

Donors can receive a tax receipt for gifts $20 or over
Donations made through our community fundraising platform will automatically receive a tax receipt to the email address used
To issue a tax receipt, we require the first and last name of the donor and their full mailing address
Tax receipts can only be issued to individuals and organizations that donate
Tax receipts cannot be issued for the purchase of raffle tickets, lottery tickets, event admission, auction purchases, sponsorship, or if guests at your event are provided a meal or some form of entertainment
