We're Going Virtual!

In a pandemic, we must adapt. And adapt we have! We are excited to announce the 19th Annual Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Gala is going virtual!

While the event might look a little different this year, we're approaching it with the same enthusiasm and fundraising intensity as we always have, as the needs of Soldiers' haven't gone away.

In fact, your support this year is more important than ever. COVID-19 has increased the pressure on our healthcare system and our healthcare workers. Our fundraising dollars have to go further.

We're looking forward to taking this virtual journey with you and can't wait to see everyone participating in Soldiers' Spooktacular Soirée from the comfort of home!

What is a Virtual Gala?

A virtual gala is very similar to a traditional gala, but instead of gathering together in a public setting, you do not have to leave your living room to join in on the fun!

The evening will be full of entertainment centred on supporting our cause while celebrating our Halloween theme. You’ll hear remarks from our team of heathcare professionals and guest speakers, get to participate in a silent auction and raffle and enjoy an overall spooktacular experience!

The evening will be guided by Layne, aka The Auctionista – a virtual gala expert. Dynamic, and full of energy, Layne will be acting as the host and emcee of the evening, navigating us through the various exciting elements we have planned for the night.

A Message from our Chairs

We hope you’ll join us virtually for our 19th annual gala – you won’t want to miss out on the fantastic evening we have planned! With your help, we can enhance care for our patients and their families and the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital community.

Thank you for your support in these uncertain times.

Sincerely,

Rachelle Austin & Hanan Fahmy
