Soldiers’ Honour Program

Dr. Zachary Lim, Orthopaedic Surgeon and proud recipient of the Soldiers’ Honour says “it’s really great to be recognized by our patients and hear about their healthcare successes during recovery.”

Every day we receive messages and letters expressing gratitude for the care received at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.

We understand the healing power of being able to say “thank you” to the people who provided care and comfort in your time of need. The Soldiers’ Honour Program offers patients and families the opportunity to distinguish a special doctor, nurse, volunteer, or an entire department that played a significant role in you or your loved one’s Hospital visit.

By recognizing a staff member or volunteer with a contribution to the Hospital, you are telling them you appreciate their tireless efforts and commitment to providing the best possible care for patients at Soldiers’.

The Soldiers’ Honour program takes your donation one step further. Your chosen Honouree will be recognized with a special Soldiers’ Honour. A commemorative pin will be awarded to them during a distinctive Soldiers’ Honour presentation ceremony and exemplified on our Wall of Honour in the main foyer of the Hospital.

Not only are your donations a form of encouragement to our staff, they make a difference in the experiences of our patients, and those who love and care for them. Your generosity will help us purchase much-needed equipment and technology and amplify our recruitment and retention efforts, to ensure high quality care will be available for generations to come.

If you are unable to give at this time, please consider filling out a note of appreciation below for us to pass along to whoever made a difference in your stay. Thank you so much for considering making a gift or sharing your story.
