Every year, more than 1,000 babies are welcomed into the world at Soldiers’.
Sometimes, these moments can be unpredictable.
Some of our tiniest soldiers require a little extra help adjusting to life outside of the womb and spend time in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Others begin their journey before birth, when expectant mothers are referred to our Perinatal Care Unit.
No matter the circumstance, Soldiers’ aims to be the most prepared to help new mothers and babies through their journeys.
Our Hospital is home to the Regional Women and Children Program, which supports mothers, newborns, children and youth all within Simcoe County, Muskoka, Parry Sound, Haliburton and surrounding areas.
The demand for new equipment and technology is high and we need to be able to continue providing the best possible care to our most vulnerable sector.
Our goal is to create a comfortable environment where there are fewer tears and bigger smiles.
